Do you want to go above and beyond, and treat your pup to some fresh goodies? You’re in luck! We have compiled a few easy recipes for homemade biscuits, and even a dog-safe birthday cake!

1. Homemade Peanut Butter Biscuits:

2/3 cup pumpkin puree

¼ cup peanut butter

2 large eggs

3 cups whole wheat flour, or more as needed

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

In a large bowl, mix pumpkin, peanut butter, and eggs until combined. Gradually add 2 ½ cups of flour to the mixture. Add an additional ¼ cup of flour as needed until the dough is no longer sticky

Knead dough 3-4 times until it comes together. Using a rolling pin, roll dough to ¼ thickness. Using cookie cutters of your choosing (dog bone shaped is always cute!) cut out desired shapes and place onto baking sheet

Bake in over until golden brown, about 20-25 minutes

2. Grain Free Sweet Potato Biscuits

1 ½ cups almond meal

½ cups coconut flour

2 tsp poultry seasoning

1 cup sweet potato, cooked and mashed (about 1 large)

¼ cup water

Preheat oven to 225 degrees F

In large bowl, combine almond meal, coconut flour, and poultry seasoning

Add in sweet potato and ¼ cup of water, and stir until well combined (mixture should be thin enough to roll out but thick enough to stick together)

Roll out dough each part to ¼ inches thick

Use a cookie cutter if desired, and place cookies on a baking sheet

Bake for 25 minutes

3. Dog Birthday Cake
