aquavitro bond™ 100 mL

bond™ is a unique low melting temperature adhesive plastic. bond™ can be used to secure coral to rockwork or to fuse rockwork together for more stable foundations in reef aquaria. bond™ is completely non toxic and inert with no impact on aquarium chemistry. bond™ has a much lower melting temperature than similar products making it safer and easier to work with. If necessary, bond™ can be reheated and reworked multiple times until desired results are achieved.

aquavitro curved shears

aquavitro® premium surgical stainless steel curved shears are designed for use in both freshwater and marine aquariums. These are ideal for the regular maintenance of aquatic plants, particularly when trimming larger leaves and stems near the surface of the water where a shallow angle remains effective. In marine and reef aquaria these work very well in trimming soft coral with ease to maintain shape, spacing or to produce frags.

aquavitro® straight shears

aquavitro® premium surgical stainless steel straight shears are designed for use in both freshwater and marine aquariums. These are ideal for the regular maintenance of aquatic plants, particularly when trimming larger leaves and stems near the surface of the water where a shallow angle remains effective. In marine and reef aquaria these work very well in trimming soft coral with ease to maintain shape, spacing or to produce frags.

Seachem Ammonia Alert®

Ammonia Alert® is an innovative color device for continuously detecting and monitoring toxic free ammonia. A sensor changes reversibly from yellow to green to blue, relative to the ammonia concentration. No test kits, chemicals, or procedures are needed. The device detects less than 0.05 mg/L (ppm) free ammonia and alerts you to the #1 killer before any sign of stress. It lasts over a year. This product is not recommended for use at acid pH. Marine or freshwater use.

In the absence of free ammonia the unit will assume a yellow or faint yellow-green color. It is normal for the dry sensor to have a greenish hue. It may take up to a few days for a dry sensor to equilibrate with the water. No sampling of water, chemicals, or test procedures are required. The presence of the free ammonia is detectable continuously with a response time of about 15 minutes. Response to decreasing ammonia is slower, requiring about 4 hours to go from TOXIC to SAFE on removal of ammonia.

Ammonia Alert® lasts over 9X as long as competing products.
Ammonia Alert® is also almost half the size of competing products. It’s small, clear, and unobtrusive, so it won’t detract from the view of your aquarium.

As little as 0.02 mg/L of free ammonia will produce a greenish hue on the detector surface. This corresponds to a total ammonia (both ionized and free ammonia) of 0.25 mg/L in marine water at pH 8.3. In freshwater at pH 7.0, this corresponds to 3.6 mg/L total ammonia.

Free ammonia is much more toxic than ionized ammonia. As free ammonia, the ALERT color corresponds to about 0.05 mg/L, ALARM to about 0.2 mg/L, and TOXIC to about 0.5 mg/L. Administering a water change should be considered for any indication other than SAFE. The ALERT concentration is tolerated for 3-5 days, ALARM for 1-3 days, and TOXIC is rapidly harmful, requiring immediate attention. For emergency ammonia removal, treat with AmGuard™.

Care

No care is required beyond removing algae with a clean, soft material. Avoid touching the sensor with fingers, since skin oils can damage it. Do not use bleach, soap, detergents or hard objects to clean the sensor. Some dye medications may discolor the sensor. Sensitivity improves with age, provided the unit is not allowed to dry out, however, drying does not permanently impair the unit. For maximum sensitivity, the unit should be read under natural daylight or daylight simulating light. Red enhancing light minimizes green and blue hues, decreasing the apparent sensitivity of the unit. The response of the unit may be checked by holding it briefly over the mouth of an ammonia bottle: color should develop rapidly.

Seachem Coral Plugs™ 12 Count

Seachem’s Coral Plugs™ are a chemically advanced means of supplying a unique platform for the stable mounting and/or grow out of all coral fragments and colonies. They are enhanced with calcium and magnesium to aid corals in rapid and secure growth. They are designed for mounting SPS and LPS coral but are just as well suited for soft corals, colonial polyps, and various other sessile invertebrates. They are also designed to mesh together tightly when used in most coral culture systems so that various encrusting and colonial corals, such as zoanthids can spread quickly from plug to plug.

Seachem® Focus™ 5g

Focus™ is an antibacterial polymer for internal infections of fish. Focus™ is primarily intended to be mixed with food and/or other medications to make them palatable to fish and greatly reduce the loss of medication to the water through diffusion. For use in freshwater or marine aquaria.

When to Use a Medicated Food Mix…

  • Your fish has an internal infection
Bloating, abnormal stools, loss of appetite, and weight loss are all signs of a potential internal infection.
  • You are already treating with a medication in the water
Sometimes fish will develop several infections at the same time, requiring multiple medications. We don’t recommend dosing two medications into the water, but it is possible to put one medication in the food and the other in the water.
  • There are corals, plants, or invertebrates in the tank
Using a medicated food mix will prevent damage to delicate plants or invertebrates from medication.

Active ingredients: Active ingredient: polymer bound nitrofurantoin (0.1%)
